Like I was saying in my earlier editorial, big fat games - bring in big fat executives! I only picked a handful of films, mainly ones of the games I want or the games I've enjoyed. They aren't in any particular order, just the order I thought of them when planning this article.. Please leave a comment if you think any should be added or you disagree on what I said about a director and think you can insult them better.

Kameo: Elements of Power - Rare; Xbox 360
Dir/Write: Park Sunmin
Genre: Action/Adventure/Drama
The story so far follows that of the videogame, a young elf-girl named Kameo uses her transformative abilities to fight the evil troll king Thorn. Park Sunmin was quoted to be very excited on making an origin-based story to Rare's new franchise for the Xbox. The film is rumoured to be fully animated and faithful to the franchise, and given Sunmin's and Maxmedia's track record, I'm not worried.

Splinter Cell: The Movie - Ubisoft; All formats
Dir/Write: Peter Berg/Tom Clancy, John J. McLaughlin, J.T. Petty, Daniel Pyne
Genre: Action/Adventure/Drama/Thriller
Tom Clancy's ideas have already given us an upcoming fourth Splinter Cell videogame and a best-selling novel. Peter Berg has only previously directed a handful of average films, but with Clancy and the writers from Pandora Tomorrow, at least the story won't be bad.

Halo - Bungie; Xbox
Pro/Write: Peter Jackson/Alex Garland, Joseph Staten
Genre: Action/Adventure/Sci-Fi
Surely the director of the Lord of The Rings trilogy wouldn't shy away his talents for a movie as big as Halo? Alex Garland, the writer of 28 Days Later was paid $1 million by Microsoft to write the story, I hope he doesn't get confused between the Covenants and infected, angry, zombie creatures.

Deus Ex - Ion Storm; PlayStation 2
Write: Greg Pruss
Genre: Sci-Fi
At the time of writing this article it's apparent the film has been cancelled, a shame really since the videogames hit story would have made an interesting blockbuster. A collection of terrible disease, economic collapse and global terrorism, who wouldn't pay full price for that!?

Far Cry - Ubisoft; Xbox and PC
Dir/Write: Uwe Boll/Michael Roesch, Peter Scheerer
Genre: Action
The only first-person-shooter game-movie adaptation I can think of recently is Doom; maybe Uwe Boll wants to emulate the success of Ubisoft's game franchise or simply poison it with his terrible sense of film direction, plot adaptations and general lack of original film ideas? Both writers previously collaborated with Boll on both Alone in the Dark and House of the Dead. Oh dear, they multiply..
